The excitement for opening ceremony of the “25th Asian Athletics Championships 2023”, Athletes from 42 countries are ready to compete for a place in the final.

Today (10 July 2023) At Samyan Mitrtown Hall, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health presided over the opening ceremony of the 25th Asian Athletics Championships 2023, was also attended by Lord Sebastian COE, World Athletics President, Gen. Dahlan Al-Hamad, President of the Asian Athletics Association (AAA), Pol.Gen. Sant Sarutanond, President of the Athletics Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King (AAT), athletes and team from 42 countries and distinguished guests.

Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul said: “The Asian Athletics Championships is considered the largest athletic competition in Asia that play an important role in advancing Asian athletics and raising the bar, so that competitors from other continents can compete with Asian athletes, and it is a great opportunity for Thailand to welcome a group of international athletes. On this land of Siam, the Land of Smiles to impress the visitors.”

For this opening ceremony, There is a parade of Hanuman and Khon mascots. Bring the flag to the ceremony presented to the chairman of the ceremony together, Raise the flag and recite the national anthem of Thailand together. Along with watching the four applied Thai cultural performances, the performance series “Unveiling the Four Regions – Opening the Door to Four Regions”, the launch of the mascot “Hanuman”, which is both a mascot and a symbol of this competition.
