We are delighted to announce the hosting of the 2023 Asian Athletics Championships and the celebration of 50th Anniversary of Asian Athletics Association in the Bangkok, the city of angels. I sincerely welcome the congress members, the participating athletes and officials from home and abroad.

We believe that Thai athletics will continue to grow step by step through new changes and innovations, by promoting national physical fitness. This competition will be held at National Stadium (Supachalasai Stadium) where is often used a place for holding various national important sports competitions.

We hope that this event will serve as a gateway for our country’s national-level athletics athletes as well as a steppingstone for promising young athletes, contributing to the enhancement of Bangkok’s global city brand image and expansion and development of international sports exchanges.

Lastly, I hope to see all participating athletes unleash their fullest potential during the competition. We express our deep gratitude and our sincere thanks to all for their dedicated efforts to ensure the successful hosting of the competition”
